Colorado Mountain College
Over the years, we have
assisted Colorado Mountain College (CMC) with its facility needs throughout the state. We have worked on both CMC buildings
in Glenwood Springs, the Spring Valley Campus and a building in Breckenridge.
CMC 831 Grand Avenue, Glenwood Springs
This building is an unreinforced masonry building (URM) on stacked stone basement
walls. We designed a generator support and made roof mounted mechanical equipment recommendations. Including strengthening
the existing roof trusses.
The Blake Center
is a steel framed building that has been remodeled several times. Along with Brenner Architecture, we prepared
a study with recemmendations to the various areas that needed remodel. Later we analyzed the existing roof structure
for new mechanical equipment, designed a repair for some damaged bar joists, modified the roof and designed structural steel
CMC Spring Valley Campus
The Vet Tech Center:
Prepared an observation report for the existing foundation of the Vet Tech kennels building (a pre-manufactured metal building)
and made recommendations. The Student Center is a concrete precast building with load bearing CMU walls. We analyzed
the existing roof structure and designed new roof top mechanical unit supports.
We evaluated the existing roof structure of this building and made recommendations for retrofit repairs.
