Maintenance building and garage with six bays
to accommodate up to twelve vehicles for storing and servicing the county road maintenance vehicles. This building also houses
administrative offices for Eagle County Road Department in El Jebel, Colorado.
This 10,000 SF structure was built with concrete masonry (CMU) insulated load bearing cavity walls with CMU
veneer. The roof was framed with steel beams, columns and bar joists and features cantilevered CMU beams forming overhangs
on both sides of the building. The building is designed to be durable under the harsh conditions of an active garage facility.
Glenwood structural and civil performed all structural calculations and design, made several site visits during construction
and reviewed all submittals (shop drawings, concrete mixes, material
substitutions) in a timely manner.
